outreach The Outreach & Service Committee  assists Central Plains congregations in promoting peace, justice, evangelism and church planting efforts both locally and globally.
 
Each year the Outreach & Service Committee assembles resources for congregations on a particular topic.  This year’s topic is Immigration.

Outreach & Service equips the work of...
...Mark VanSteenwyk, the pastor of the Missio Dei community in Minneapolis, networks with emerging Anabaptist congregations across the United States and helps them connect to the Mennonite Church.

...Ramiro Hernandez serves as the Hispanic Ministries Coordinator, building bridges between Hispanic and Anglo congregations and helping Central Plains congregations reach out to Hispanic folks in their communities.

...the Church Planting Strategy Team, a task group of the Outreach & Service Committee.
The strategy team’s purpose is to:
    * receive, evaluate and assist in the development of  proposals for the development of new congregations;
    * recommend formal relationships between developing congregations and Central Plains Mennonite Conference upon full proposal development;
    * provide structures of support and accountability for church planters; and
    * plan for learning community experiences for those involved in the development of missional Mennonite congregations of many cultures as an essential part of the mission of Central Plains Mennonite Conference.
